Terms and Conditions
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS
Scope
The General Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between the guest and the holiday home. They apply to reservations and other services.
Conclusion of contract
A contract comes into effect as soon as a reservation for services is made verbally or in writing and is binding for both parties.
Down payments
A deposit may be required. We reserve the right to request credit card details.
Cancellation/reservation withdrawal
A free cancellation is possible if access to the Meien holiday home is demonstrably impossible due to force majeure, e.g., precarious snow conditions, avalanche danger, landslides, rockfall, etc., but is only granted after prior consultation with the host. If it is possible for guests to reach the holiday home safely via an alternative route, the contract remains valid. (Bad weather is not a reason for cancellation).
Cancellation periods and compensation
-
To receive a full refund, guests must cancel the reservation at least 30 days prior to check-in.
-
If there are less than 30 days but at least 7 days left until check-in, guests will receive 50% of the booking amount for all booked nights.
-
If you cancel less than 7 days before check-in, you will be charged the full amount for all booked nights to the host.
-
Guests can also receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking and there are at least 14 days until check-in.
We recommend taking out private cancellation insurance.
Prices
The prices quoted by Ferienhaus Meien are always in Swiss francs (CHF) and include statutory VAT.
Liability and damages

All written and verbal information provided by the host, e.g., regarding trail conditions, weather conditions, hiking suggestions, etc., is provided with the utmost care and to the best of their knowledge and belief. Liability for any damages of any kind that may arise for a guest from the use of such information is excluded. All decisions are the sole responsibility of the guest or the group leader. In the event of any ambiguities or legal disputes, the reservation contract serves as the basis for further negotiations between the contracting parties.
Applicable law/place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Ferienhaus Meien.
